Do you think corporations should continue to spread their brand and perhaps create a monopoly or should we support
mom-and -pop businesses even if it might mean spending more money?

A 56-year-old man named Caesar Barber sued MaDonald’s, Burger King, and KFC for illnesses related to his obesity.
He has had tow heart attacks and is diabetic after eating fast food four or five times a week. Barber claims that these fast-food chains did not warn him about all of the cholesterol, fat, and high salt content in their food.
Do you think, these fast food chains are at least partially responsible for the man’s illnesses?

An eye for an eye is a reference to how a person who is injured by another person must be punished to the same degree.

A famous computer scientist and Google’s new director of engineering,
Ray Kurzweil predicted that computers will be smarter than the most intelligent human beings in 15 years.
In essence, these robots will be able to to think faster, be more creative, think more critically,
and even have higher levels of emotional intelligence.

NOTE:
-The topics of the essays/presentation will be given out on the 2nd week of September. (between 10th~12th)
If a student is absent, please let the homeroom teacher know.
-The first draft of the essay and the first script of the speech presentation is due by the 3rd week of September. (between 15th~19th)
- If a student is absent or forgets to bring their essay/speech on the day he/she is supposed to hand in their essay/presentations,
please let the homeroom teacher know on that day.
-The first draft/script for the speech should be corrected and handed back to the students on the next class,
between 17~23th of September. or a.s.a.p.
-The students are supposed to memorize the corrected speech script for their presentations between September 25th~September 30th.
-The students in Challenging/Power/Master levels are supposed to bring second drafts of their essays on their essay interviews
on one-to-one basis from 27th September to 4th of October.
(Sat/Wed/Sat) - the second drafts will be due between 22nd September to 26th of September.
-The students in Intermediate/Advanced levels bring in second drafts for their evaluation between September 24th ~ September 30th.
